The important first year of a infant vision
Vision development starts at birth. At first, infants have limited visual acuity and only see objects that are a few inches away, but over time they see at greater distances. By two months, infants track moving objects, and by six months, they perceive depth and color. At the end of year 1, most infants recognize faces and objects.
Advanced screening sees more
Advanced vision screening for newborns discovers vision threatening conditions in the back of the eye.
High-resolution wide-angle imaging provides the basis for a comprehensive examination by highly trained pediatric retina specialists.
